IMIC conferences: 10 years of continuous presence
in the Greek tourist and convention scene
The aim of the 10th conference of the IMIC series is to contribute to the efforts for the extension of the tourist season based on the capabilities and the potential of each area.
The comparative advantages of Greece as a whole (environment, climate, islands and beaches, culture, gastronomy, natural beauty, etc. ) enable the development of a high level of contemporary forms of tourism. However so far it has not been possible to diversify the tourist product of the mass tourism of “sun and sea” and as a result the tourist season has remained short.
IMIC 2014, through interesting lectures, roundtables and workshops, will analyze the key issues in developing an integrated framework for successfully overcoming seasonality in tourism.
It will also indicate practical ideas, directly applicable to the comparative advantages of each region to create products that will bring us one step closer to the much-needed expansion of the tourist season.
